Nissan Is Taking Traveling With Pets To A New Level With The Rogue Dogue

When it comes to selecting a new vehicle we know that safety is one of the most important factors to consider, especially if you are looking at a family vehicle. You want to be positive that the model you choose will be capable of keeping you and your passengers protected so that you arrive safely at your destination each and every time. This new model is called the “Rogue Dogue” project vehicle and it recently made its official world debut at the 2017 New York International Auto Show! This dog-friendly concept vehicle was developed by the brand in order to provide a traveling option that pays special attention to the unique traveling needs that dog owners face on a daily basis. It is also a fun way for owners to more easily incorporate their pets into their travels without having to remember to pack a bunch of extra necessities since this model has been equipped to accommodate everything that your pooch might need.

“For all of the dog lovers at Nissan, the Rogue Dogue is so much fun – the equivalent, I guess you could say, of riding with your head out the window if you were a dog,” said Michael Bunce, vice president, Product Planning, Nissan North America, Inc. “Of course, we also take pets’ safety very seriously, which is why the Rogue Dogue includes secure leash fastening attachments in the second row and rear cargo area – along with numerous other features designed to make family travel with dogs more enjoyable for everyone.”

When beginning the design process for this vehicle, Nissan surveyed dog owners to discover their opinion on what they feel are the most desirable dog-friendly features. And the top three suggestions were a clip-in harness hook, a non-spill water dispenser, and a slide-away dog ramp. Overall, they found that over 75 percent of dog owners stated that the availability of optional features would impact their decision when deciding on a new vehicle to purchase.

Along with the previously mentioned modifications, few of the other custom features that have been included on the Rogue Dogue include side wall mounted poop bag dispenser, dog first aid kit, second-row fog hammock, removable pet partition, 360-degree dog shower with a 10 gallon pressurized water reserve, and integrates dog drying system with compressed heated air dryer and outside hose attachment, and so much more.
