It seems that no matter where the Nissan LEAF goes, it makes headlines. Most recently the all-electric vehicle was recognized at Mexico’s “2015 Green Vehicle” by the Top Car MAPFRE (a leading insurance company) awards. These awards are held to recognize design, innovation and technological breakthroughs in the Mexican automotive industry, things that the Nissan LEAF has always excelled at. A panel that consists of editors and experts select the finalists and the categories of the awards. This year’s consisted of subcompact vehicles, sedans, SUVs, sports cars and green vehicles. What makes these awards even more compelling, is that it is the general public is who selects the winners. "We are very proud with this award," said Jorge Vallejo, Zero Emission Area Director and Government Relations and Export Sales Director, Nissan Mexico. "Being recognized in the 'Green Vehicle 2015' category reaffirms our commitment with the Mexican public of bringing environmentally friendly transportation options in line with our global leadership in the topic." All-season floor mats can save you a lot of stress during the winter months. If your current set of mats could use replacing, now is a great time to invest in new mats. At Destination Nissan, we have a fully stocked parts department filled with Nissan quality parts and accessories. We can help you choose the right sized mats to fit your model Nissan. Why You Need Floor Mats The sludge and salt you bring into your car each time you enter can do a lot of damage to your car. Over time, the road salt and other debris can permanently damage your car’s carpeting, leaving it stained and dirty-looking. But the damage can be more serious than that. Wet snow and road salt can eventually corrode the metal underneath the carpeting, causing problems with the stability and structure of your vehicle. All-weather floor mats are built to withstand more than regular wear and tear. Buying cheap mats which slide around and fall apart may not offer the protection your car needs. Investing in high quality mats made especially for your Nissan is a good way to keep your car in great condition for a longer period of time. Stick with Nissan Buying Nissan parts and accessories gives you the peace of mind things will fit correctly and work properly. You can be sure our experienced service department staff will show you the options you need to protect the integrity of your car. Visit our parts department today and check out our inventory made especially for your Nissan model. We offer convenient hours to meet the needs of our customers.

What do you get when you combine an abandoned mall, a pair of Nissan 370Zs and two drifting experts? Well for Nissan and Hoonigan, this combination led to the creation of the Black Friday 360 Experience and a whole new way to spend a day at the mall on black Friday. To create this unique experience, professional drivers and drifting champs Ryan Tuerck and Chris Forsberg were brought out to the abandoned Hawthorne Mall by Los Angeles where they spend the day driving through the empty building in their Nissan 370Zs. While they drove, a series of cameras captured the action from every vantage point in order to create the 360 Experience. Therefore, fans can now watch the duo zoom through the mall from every possible angle as they can touch the screen and turn it 360 degrees as they watch it in order to truly immerse themselves in the drive. Fans of drifting and Nissan are sure to love all of the stunts and impressive driving skills Tuerck and Forsberg showed off in this film. There is even one moment where Fosberg swerves the back of his car near a ledge with a 30-foot drop, something that was made difficult due to the extremely dusty climate they were driving in. "I knew I could mentally block out the drop, however, my biggest concern was the surface," admitted Forsberg.  "The conditions were dusty and underneath all of that was polished concrete.  We had one chance to get the shot before the rubber built up." Check out the Black Friday 360 Experience in the video above to see it all for yourself. Yaeger, Steve. "Nissan and Hoonigan Team up to Celebrate Black Friday at the Mall." NissanNews.com.
