Nissan Ariya

If you drive a Nissan Ariya or you’re thinking about making the switch to electric, there’s one big question on your mind: Where do I charge, and how easy is it really?

Good news. Nissan has just made charging the Ariya a whole lot simpler.

With a new adapter kit now available, Ariya drivers can plug into more than 20,000 Tesla Superchargers across the U.S. That’s in addition to the 80,000+ public chargers already accessible through the NISSAN ENERGY Charge Network. So whether you’re commuting around Albany, heading out to the Adirondacks, or taking a longer trip downstate, you’ve got options—and a lot of them.

Here’s how it works. The North American Charging Standard (NACS) adapter kit lets your Ariya’s charging system connect to Tesla’s fast chargers, no modifications needed. You can pick one up for $235 through Destination Nissan or order it online at NissanUSA.com. Once you’ve got it, plug in, charge up, and hit the road. The MyNISSAN app will even help you find nearby charging stations that work with your setup.

For a lot of EV drivers, charging has always been the tricky part. That’s why this move is a big deal. By opening access to Tesla’s massive Supercharger network, Nissan is making electric ownership feel less like a learning curve and more like second nature.

The Ariya is compatible with Tesla’s newer V3 and V4 Superchargers, which you can locate through the app. And the best part? Charging speeds stay the same. The Nissan-approved adapter is designed to work smoothly with Ariya’s system, so you get fast, reliable charging without extra steps.

Even better, Nissan isn’t stopping here. Starting this year, future Nissan EVs will come equipped with a standard NACS port, no adapter needed. That means even more streamlined access to public chargers for every new EV driver who joins the Nissan family.

At the end of the day, driving electric should feel like an upgrade—not a hassle. With expanded access to charging stations, simple tools like the MyNISSAN app, and a future that’s moving toward universal compatibility, the Ariya is more than just a smart EV—it’s a smart choice.
