If you’re hoping to enjoy the beautiful outdoors once spring arrives, consider going to a few spring festivals in the Albany area. Here are three of the best seasonal festivals in the Albany area.

Albany Tulip Festival

The Albany Tulip Festival takes place annually during Mother Day’s weekend. In 2016, don’t miss the 68th Annual Albany Tulip Festival in Washington Park. Here you can admire and photograph more than 100,000 blossoming tulips. Many events take place at the Albany Tulip Festival, such as the Tulip Queen Coronation tradition, the scrubbing of State Street, and the Royal Tulip Ball. Let the kids partake in a few activities, and don’t miss your chance to visit craft vendors and eat delicious food.

Gathering of the New York Farm Cideries

Another popular spring festival is the Gathering of the New York Farm Cideries, which takes place at Nine Pin Ciderworks. Admission costs $10 for each person, with a slightly higher price at the door. Here you can taste and sample unique batches of ciders made from apples grown right in New York. If you like the cider, you can purchase it by the bottles to take home.

518 SongFest

If you’re a huge music fan, be sure to plan a visit to 518 SongFest. This spring festival features numerous musical performances by acoustic singers, such as Bryan Thomas, Tim Moore, and many more.

This spring, enjoy the beautiful weather and join in the fun at these flower, music, and cider festivals in the Albany area.
