If you want your children to grow up to value education, there’s no time like the present to start. A fun way to do this to take the kids to museums you know they’ll love. Here are three children’s museums to check out in the Albany area.

Children’s Museum of Science and Technology

At the Children’s Museum of Science and Technology, your children will have no trouble finding exhibits that interest them. They’re bound to love at least one of the five main exhibits, including Construction Junction, Maker Space, Move It/Shake It, Nature Place, and Nano Exploration. Some of the museum’s most popular exhibits include the Magnetic Ball Wall, Nano!, Weather Front, and GE Junior Discovery Room. In addition to exhibits, the Children’s Museum of Science and Technology also features camps and summer programs like Kindertist, Junior Discoverers Camp, Senior Explorers Camp, and Tween Scientists Camp.

New York State Museum

If your kids love science or history, take them to Albany’s New York State Museum. Here you and your children can explore international exhibits that feature both of these popular topics, and the kids can partake in various events, such as arts and crafts, preschool tours, and storybook reading.

Long Island Children’s Museum

Your children can enjoy a full day of fun and entertainment at Long Island Children’s Museum. This museum features 14 themed galleries and a 145-seat theater. Your children can explore the two-story ClimbIt structure, peruse the Our Backyard outdoor gallery, and blow bubbles in the Bubble Gallery.

Whether your kids love science, history, or the arts, they’ll find plenty to do at these children’s museums in the Albany area.
