Founded in 2015, the Capital Craft Beverage Trail promotes farm-based and craft beverages in the capital region of New York. This trail is a one-of-a-kind drinking tour that features the region’s top beverage facilities. The producers of the beverages source their ingredients locally and create their batches in small quantities in order to maximize quality. Here are some of the highlights of this beverage trail.
Chatham Brewing
Chatham Brewing is one of the most popular places on the Capital Craft Beverage Trail. It offers freshly and locally brewed beer that’s made with award-winning recipes. It uses the finest homegrown hops and malts to give its beer a rich, distinctive taste. This brewery offers 14 varieties of unique ales and lagers for you to enjoy.
Altamont Vineyard and Winery
Altamont Vineyard and Winery provides a sophisticated yet fun experience with its outstanding selection of fine wines. The experts here will teach you how to examine wine visually through its color and transparency, smell and savor its rich fragrance, and test it.
Nine Pin Cider Works
Nine Pin Cider Works has some of the most unique offerings on the trail. The sweet yet strong taste of its hard cider will keep you going back for more. Its ciders are offered in a variety of flavors, including ginger, Belgian, and blueberry.
The Capital Craft Beverage Trail is an attraction you shouldn’t miss if you’re living or vacationing in upstate New York. Most of the beverage facilities are located along Broadway in Albany.
