This week at the 2016 New York International Auto Show, Nissan revealed the new 2017 Nissan GT-R. This sports car was originally introduced in 2007, and this year it has experienced its most dramatic transformation yet, with major performance enhancements and new features.

Under the hood, the award-winning 3.8-L V6 Turbocharged Engine has added 20 horsepower and 4 lb-ft of torque, now delivering 565 horsepower and 467 lb-ft of torque.

The exterior of the 2017 GT-R will include a matte chrome finished V-Motion Grille, a reinforced hood, and a redesigned front spoiler lip and front bumpers, and new rear bodywork to make the car more aerodynamic and aesthetically pleasing. The interior benefited from a new Nappa leather stitched simplified dashboard with integrated navigation and audio controls and an 8-inch touch screen monitor. Shift paddles have been mounted to the steering wheel and the front seats are now lighter with side-support for ultimate comfort.

Mamoru Aoki, Nissan’s executive design director, explains, “As the icon of Nissan’s driving performance, the GT-R continues to evolve. With the signature V-motion grille, the GT-R now possesses the latest Nissan design language. Its exceptional aerodynamic performance and upgraded interior have given the GT-R a more mature character, which will continue into the future.”

The 2017 Nissan GT-R will be available this summer!
