Winter is a season of cold weather, snow, road salt, and remembering your scarf… but it’s also the season of your car becoming a complete mess. Well, here’s a way to get out of the doldrums – clean out and organize your car! When you get back into the driver’s seat afterward, you’ll feel like a new person with a new car. Seriously, it works!

The first thing you need to do is get a couple of trash bags. First, get all of the trash out of your car. All of it! Trunk, back seat, front seat, center console… wherever there’s trash, find it and throw it away.

Next, get everything else out of your car. Separate everything into things that need to stay in your car and things that can go inside. Bring the inside stuff inside (this is a car blog, so I don’t really care what you do after that) and then leave the car stuff out.

Give your car a nice vacuum, a dusting, and a few spritzes of Febreeze. If you want to do some more cleaning, go right ahead!

Afterward, put everything you wanted to keep in your car back into it, but in an organized fashion. There you go!
