There is something calming about being forced to unplug for a couple of days and just enjoy my surroundings. I usually travel with at least a couple of friends and we all share in our mutual sense of accomplishment when we are able to successfully set up our tent, build a fire, and cook our dinner over our makeshift camping stove. I have to tell you that while our cell phones may seem like a permanent attachment most times, but you will be surprised how easy it is to forget them when you are sitting in the woods sharing a few drinks with some friends around a fire exchanging stories and experience true face-to-face social interaction rather than face-to-screen.

However, when I do go camping, I enjoy tent camping over cabin camping, you know roughing it style. That means that I need a vehicle that is tough enough to navigate through the rough terrain to find the perfect place to set up camp. Plus, with enough space to easily carry all of the tents, sleeping bags, clothes, cooking utensils, food, and everything else that we need for the weekend.
